Description of lesson: Write, research and read famous American poets.
Assignment: The students will work to compile a book of their favorite American poems (8-10), a small of biography of their favorite American Poets (2-3) and a short poem in the style of a poet.
Resources/materials needed: Computer for research, a three ring notebook to compile poems and research. Also the intro page which can be found here:
